I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of shows that were in development for animation. This involved creating bespoke logos, pitch decks and creative bibles. This gallery shows a body of concepts and logos. These are some designs that didn’t make the final cut but I’m able to share the process of sketch to full colour design. Assets are drawn or mocked up in Illustrator/Photoshop/Procreate.

Development Concepts

Just Ask

Just Ask is a book series by Sonia Sotomayor which is a kind, creative book which shows how our differences can also make us unique. It follows a group of kids with different abilities and challenges where they work together to build a community garden. During this time they are able to ask questions along the way to find out about each others superpowers.

I was put to the task to create a new logo and assets for a series pitch.

Moodboards

The logo, illustrations and style of the book is very colourful, full of wonder and of course plants and flowers! I created a moodboard of design styles and researched floral species to help me decide what flowers to create. It felt almost like digital flower arranging!

As well as the logo I had to come up with a set of assets to use throughout the pitch. I experimented with loose watercolour paint strokes and little hand drawn paper pieces that information could be overlayered on top

2.

Inspector Gadget

Inspector Gadget is the world's first bionic policeman. The bumbling detective is equipped with an incredible array of gadgets to help him in his never-ending battles against crime and corruption.

The brief was to look at a potential 2d series and come up with explorations of how the logo could work.

3.

Gangsta Granny

Gangsta Granny is book series written by David Walliams which tells the story of old age, adventure, stolen jewels and swimming the Thames! Illustrated by the award-winning artistic genius Tony Ross.
